"The overreaching purpose of this church is to fulfill its commission as the Body of Christ, as we see the commission defined in the New Testament. We strive to follow the example of the apostles, as we live together "with one accord." And so we are called to worship together, pray and have fellowship, to participate in the sacraments of Christ, to witness for Jesus Christ in the world, to share our worldly goods, and to minister to the causes of daily human needs. As we carry out this commission, we are guided by the Holy Spirit and made fully aware that Christ is the head of the Church. It is the very love of Christ that pulls us together as individual parts of his Church, unites us in purpose, and motivates us to actively promote His ministry in our world."
